Had the sharing roast it was nice but not spectacular as everyone goes on about. We did like we could have it well done. But not that we were charged for extra gravy. Had it not been for the offer I'd have said it was a bit over priced still.

The team were brilliant and friendly. The decor and atmosphere was perfect. Exactly what we were looking for in our Sunday roast vibe. The food was fab too, gravy was amazing. We got the sharing roast. And bloody Mary’s.

We came in twice just for drinks, lovely pub.
The first visit they were in the middle of a power cut but it was still lovely. Second time was very busy Wednesday night and there was a great atmosphere.

Omg! The fish and chips were delicious.... and the rest of my party thoroughly enjoyed the sharing roast platter. The brownie with the raspberry and aniseed (?) sorbet AND the banana blondie was outstanding! Book ahead as this place is understandably sought after! Oops, forgot to mention the mac n cheese....yummmm! And of course, the staff were warm, welcoming, accommodating and hospitable! 💯

Good Sunday roast for two for 45 pounds including the dessert. Very nice vibe, local. I thought the portion was a bit small. Reservation needed.

That is simply the best Sunday Roast I’ve ever tried! This was highly recommended by a couple I met at another pub and it was totally worth it!
Also the staff is really friendly and welcoming, and the whole ambiance with the tiles, dimmed lights and book shelves gives this really cozy feeling!

Had steak and chips and pie of the day which was chicken. The only pastry in the pie was the top layer, the rest underneath was just the chicken filling. Felt more like a chicken soup with bread on top. Food tasted good but nothing amazing.
Make sure you book ahead, it’s popular and gets booked up quickly. The rugby was on, so we also watched that and the atmosphere was nice.

Exceeded expectations! We made reservations for the Sunday roast dinner. I accidentally made the reservations for the wrong day, but the staff was overwhelmingly accommodating! They sat us shortly, although busy, and my husband and I were able to enjoy Trivia date night with a DELICIOUS Sunday roast dinner. I am a travel agent and will highly recommend to all clients traveling to Edinburgh.

Booked only two hours before the rugby snd got a view a of the screen. However, the staff went above and beyond to cater for my disabled partner. Both Ali and and Ali would check in with us and sorted us a table post match. It made my partner feel very included and special. The service charge and more was well deserved

Shown to our table by Marc who was very friendly and explained all of the specials to us.The atmosphere was very chilled and made us feel relaxed. Tori took our food order and again was very friendly. The food was amazing so hot and delicious and would definitely recommend to family and friends and a must for our next trip to Edinburgh.
